*Gas fire pit burners should not be installed without a burner pan, you should only be ordering a stand alone burner if you already have a pan. A burner pan is meant to securely hold the burner in place, hold media such as fire glass or lava rock without having to improperly fill the entire fire pit structure, and allows for proper venting where the gas connection is made below the pan.
